This year, make it your resolution to always have a valid, government-issued ID in your possession all the time. And while you’re at it, why not make it your goal to complete these five IDs before the end of the first month of the year?
Here’s the list of IDs, where you can get them, how much you need to pay for them, and their validity period:
ID Type | Where to Apply | Price | Validity |
Passport | Department of Foreign Affairs (Get an appointment at http://www.passport.gov.ph) | P950 or P1,200 (for expedited processing) | 10 years |
UMID | SSS | Free of charge | Lifetime |
Driver’s License | Land Transportation Office | Exam fee: P167.63 License fee: P652.83 | 10 years if you do not have violations |
PhilHealth ID | PhilHealth Office | Free | Lifetime |
TIN ID | BIR | Free | Lifetime |
I shall dedicate blogs for the step-by-step processes on how to get a driver’s license, PhilHealth ID, and TIN ID, do watch out for those. Meantime, to see how you can apply for a passport (first time) and a UMID, just click on the words “Passport” and “UMID” above.
Have a safe and meaningful start of the year, folks! And thank you for staying with us!
