On October 25, 2021, the mayor of Baguio announced that they will once again open the city to tourists from other regions. Back in August, Baguio closed its borders and only welcomed essential travels as COVID-19 cases spiked for several weeks.
If you are wondering what you need to accomplish to visit the City of Pines, you’ve come to the right place. I just finished creating Baguio Visita accounts for some family members who will be spending the All Saints’ Day weekend there and would like to share to everyone how the Baguio website works and what you need to prepare when scheduling your visit.
I hope you find this useful. Read on.
What you need to prepare before creating an account with Visita Baguio:
- Front and back photos of a valid government-issued ID
- A selfie photo of yourself
- A photo of your vaccination card
- If you are staying at a hotel, best that you have already pencil-booked your stay so you can ask the hotel if they are included in the roster of accredited accommodation places in Baguio city.
- If you are staying at a relative’s or friend’s house, you need to have the address, name of the person you are staying with, and his or her mobile number.
How to register:
- Logon to the Baguio Visita website at http://www.visita.baguio.gov.ph

- Complete your account details.
- Upload your most recent selfie, the front and back portions of your government-issued ID, and the photo of your vaccination card.
