Your NBI clearance is good for one year from the date it was issued. There are two ways you can renew it, depending on the urgency of your need for one.

Renew via the NBI CLEARANCE QUICK RENEWAL.
- No online appointment necessary
- No need to visit an NBI Clearance Center to claim your new NBI Clearance.
- Applicable if you do not have personal information that needs updating.
- Applicable for applicants whose last NBI clearance was issued on October 16, 2016 and onwards.
How to:
Step 1: Go to the NBI Clearance Online Services website.
Step 2: Click on the NBI Clearance Online Renewal.
Step 3: Provide the following details in the pop-up screen:
- Old NBI ID Number
- Mobile number
- Complete name
- Birthdate
Step 4: Click on Verify and then fill out the NBI clearance delivery form. Below are the details on delivery turn-around time:
- Metro Manila and Luzon deliveries: 3 to 7 working days delivery time
- Visayas and Mindanao deliveries: 7 to 10 working days delivery time
You have the option to have it delivered to your address of to pick it up at your preferred NBI Branch on a scheduled date. You can also have it picked up by a local courier (Lalamove or Grab) with additional shipping fees as prescribed the courier’s app.
Choose your preferred way of receiving your NBI clearance.
Step 5: Click Proceed to Payment and take note of the reference number that will be assigned to your transaction. Use the reference number when paying for your application at any Bayad Center outlet.
Step 6: Pay the delivery service fee and wait for the SMS notification confirming your application has been received.
Step 7: Wait for your NBI clearance to be delivered. If you are going to personally pick up your clearance at an NBI office, present your NBI Official Receipt or the receipt issued by the electronic payment channel where you made your payment.

Renew via the Regular Procedure:
Step 1: Visit the NBI Clearance Online Services website.
Sign-in using the old email address and password you used when you first created an account. In case your login credentials won’t work anymore, you can create a new account.
Step 2: When you’ve logged in successfully, you will be able to view your account information. Make sure that the application type has been updated to “Renew”. You may also edit your information by clicking “Edit Information”. This may apply to female applicants who got married and changed their last name to their married last name (and other applicants who have had changes in their personal information).
Step 3: If you created a new account, you will be sent a new one-time password by the NBI. This will be sent via SMS or email. Key-in the OTP and then click submit.
Step 4: You are now ready to log in to your account. Once you’ve gained access, edit or fill out the applicant information form with your updated information. TIP: If the application type is not updated to “RENEW”, it means your NBI clearance is not expired yet. You may choose to proceed with the renewal process even if your clearance is still valid.
Step 6: When done updating your information or when you are sure that all information in your account are true, accurate, and updated, just click on Save Information.
Step 7: Click on Apply For Clearance to proceed to the renewal of your clearance.
Step 8: Choose your appointment day and provide the ID you intend to present when you visit the NBI branch you chose. Check too that you have the old NBI clearance with you as this will also be asked of you on your appointment day.
Step 8: Select your preferred NBI branch (venue), date, and time. You may choose from the list of NBI branches in the dropdown menu.
Step 9: Pay your renewal fee at any of the NBI’s payment partners using the reference number provided. Once payment is made, go back to your account and click on Confirm Payment.
Step 10. Be at the NBI branch you chose on the day and time of your appointment. Bring at least two valid IDs and your old NBI clearance, if it is still available. You photo and fingerprints will be taken at the biometrics section and your clearance will be released in a few minutes if your name is clear and does not have hits.

How I get my nbi nmber
No such thing as an “NBI Number”. You can get an NBI Clearance from the NBI as proof that you do not have any pending cases with the NBI.
