POEA: Saudi Hiring 800 Muslim Nurses

Bonjour. Mabuhay.

Good new to our Muslim sisters in Cagayan de Oro.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Good news to female Muslim nurses.

The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia is hiring 800 female Muslim nurses, the Philippine Overseas and Employment Administration (POEA) announced on Friday.

This will be a government-to-government hiring of female Muslim nurses with a basic salary of SR3,150 for the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the POEA said in a press statement.

Applicants should not be more than 40 years old, preferably a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and with or without Board License, said Director Apasra S. Abas of POEA, Region 10.

Abas said the applicants should also have at least one to two years’ hospital work experience and have taken Prometric exams. Prometric is a US company in the test administration industry which operates a test center network composed of over 10,000 sites in 160 countries.

Qualified applicants are advised to register online at www.poea.gov.ph or www.eregister.poea.gov.ph and personally submit a detailed resume with job description, school credentials, and employment certificates, along with other requirements.

According to the POEA, the submission of applications is open until further notice at the four POEA Regional Centers in Mindanao, namely, Butuan City, Davao City, Zamboanga City and Cagayan de Oro City.

Hope this helps.

  1. Are those nurses only from region 10, can apply on this add? Will there be any chance for other muslim nurses outside this region to apply? Have a great day !

      1. im a filipino nurse working in saudi under the ministry of health,we are facing with big problem now coz of this saudization,so many received stop work in our hospital indians including filipino who have bachelors degree, the first batch it was last year i think, they went home and some apply here to others private hospital because they have loan, and on that batch one filipino died. on that first batch you will just received a letter that it was your last day of work already.because of that we are thinking no more stop work, but this year after ramadan there is another list came out,but this time is different, they asked those nurses in the list to signed for new contract but as nursing assisstant,no choice coz again they are thinking of their loan.imagine filipino board passer then become nursing assisstant in category but doing same work…..just this week again another list came we will see next week what they will do for us if they will send us home,or we will sign nursing assisstant contract we are just waiting, when i see this post i cant believe.we are still young and working in ICU,the only thing is our contract is under ministry of health.for those nurses under HOP contract they are not included,
